Enthusiast Motor Insurance – PDS

  • This PDS applies to new policies with a commencement date on or after the 1 January 2025 and a renewal date on or after 1 January 2025.

 

Enthusiast Motor Insurance – PDS

  • This PDS applies to new policies with a commencement date on or after the 20 May 2024 and a renewal date on or after 20 May 2024 – 31 December 2024.

 

Enthusiast Motor Insurance – PDS

  • This PDS applies to new policies with a commencement date on or after the 15 April 2024 and a renewal date on or after 15 April 2024 – 19 May 2024.

 

Enthusiast Motor Insurance – PDS

  • This PDS applies to new policies with a commencement date on or after the 15 August 2023 and a renewal date on or after 15 August 2023 – 14 April 2023.

 

Enthusiast Motor Insurance – PDS

  • This PDS applies to new policies with a commencement date before 15 August 2023 and a renewal date on or before 15 August 2023.

How do I make a claim with Enthusiast?

Click on “Start a Claim Online” and fill out the online form. You can also download the form and email it to claims@enthusiast.com.au.

What happens after I lodge my claim?
A claims specialist will be assigned to you, and you’ll receive a claim acknowledgment with further steps by the end of the next business day.
What do I do if I have an accident and you're closed?
Ensure everyone’s safe and collect evidence. Lodge your claim on our website. We’ll contact you by the end of the next business day.
What information do I need to make a claim?

When you fill out the claims form, we will ask you:

  • Your vehicle’s registration number
  • Your vehicle’s odometer reading at the time of the incident
  • Your Enthusiast insurance policy number
  • Details of the policy holder
  • Details of the driver of your vehicle (name, address, license number, contact details)
  • Details about the accident (including location, date and time, photos and dashcam footage)
  • Details of any other party involved
  • Details of any witnesses (name and contact details)
  • The reference number of the police case, if applicable
  • The quicker we get all the information we need, the faster we can progress your claim.
  • The more info you share, the faster we can get your claim sorted.
What do I do if I can't drive my vehicle and I need towing?

If your vehicle isn’t safe to drive, it must be towed. Contact a towing company and keep the receipt to send to us at claims@enthusiast.com.au.

Can I choose my own repairer?

Yes, just let us know who your repairer is, and our assessing team will contact them.

Who will handle my claim?
One of our Australian-based claim specialists will handle your claim from start to finish.
What are the salvage rights?
If your vehicle is a total loss, you have the option to keep it. Vehicles over 30 years old automatically have salvage rights. You can add salvage rights to your policy for vehicles between 15 and 30 years old.
What excess do I need to pay and how do I pay?

Different excesses may apply depending on the circumstances of your claim. Refer to our PDS and policy schedule. If you’re at fault, you’ll need to pay the excess. If you are not at fault and you provide third-party details, we can waive your excess.

Do I get a Hire car?

If you have the hire car optional extra, it will be shown on your policy schedule. Check our PDS or contact our claims team for more details.

What is the claim process for windscreen or glass claims?

If you have an excess-free glass cover, call O’Brien Glass at 1800 800 889. If not, lodge a claim online or download a form.
